Returns and Refunds
We want you to love your purchase and get a lot of use out of it. If the item you purchased is not to your liking, or the size is incorrect, you may return the item for an exchange (provided we have the style/ colour/ size available), credit code or refund.
We accept returns on all items EXCEPT accessories, No-Waste products, and SALE items.
Accessories and No-Waste products can NOT be returned.
Any garment, where a minor adjustment was requested upon or post purchasing or where size adjustments were requested based on measurements or other information provided, may not be returned or exchanged. No refunds will be provided for items altered by Maya Prass from the original pattern/ fit.
SALE items may be returned in exchange for a credit code to the same value of the sale price.
Returning an unwanted item (refunds/ exchanges)
In general, you can return an unwanted item provided:
- It is UNDAMAGED and UNWORN, with the original labels/ tags/ stickers intact.
- It is not missing any accessories or parts (such as a belt or tie)
- The item has not been modified or altered in any way, by the purchaser or by us.
We only refund/ credit the value of the purchased item. If an item was purchased with a site/ weekly special discount, the amount refunded/ credited will match the amount paid after discount.
We DO NOT refund shipping.
Please follow these instructions for a return:
- Email us on info@mayaprass.com to notify us that you would like to return/exchange your purchase, and let us know why (not to your liking, size or fit issue, etc.). Please indicate if you would like a different size, a credit code or a refund.
- You must email us within 7 days of delivery. Any return, whether a defect item or simply unwanted, must be processed within 15 days of purchase.
- The item must be returned within 14 days of delivery.

We reserve the right to examine all returns to ensure they meet our return policy/ requirements. Once we have done so, we will process the exchange, refund or send through a credit code via email.
Refunds:
We do not offer refunds on items purchased directly at our studio. These purchases may be returned for a credit note.
Refunds are processed via our third party payment portal Payfast.
Refunds will be paid out to the card which was used to make the purchase. We cannot provide a cash refund.
If the item being returned for a refund was eligible for free shipping, an amount of R85 will be deducted from the refund amount to cover the shipping costs incurred.
Please allow 10-15 working days for the refund to be processed and reflect in your account -this may be quicker depending on the bank used and our third party payment portal.
If the refund is for an item purchased via our third party installment provider Pay Just Now, we will notify them once the return is approved. Pay Just Now will cancel all future installments and refund any amounts already paid. Please allow 10-15 working days for this process to be complete.
Credit Notes:
Credit codes are sent out via email and are valid for 6 (six) months. The code can be extended with special request. Once extended, a credit code can not be exchanged for a refund (if the original purchase was eligible for a refund).
If you are receiving a credit code, please keep it safe. Credit codes are sent out via email and can only be used once. If lost, a credit code cannot be re-issued. Our credit codes are valid for 1 (one) year.
Credit codes are NOT eligible for free shipping. Free shipping will only apply when a credit code is being used against a purchase where the balance due (after the credit code is applied) meets our site’s free shipping requirements.
Please note our system does not allow for two discounts to apply to one purchase. This means that the system will not allow you to use a credit code on an item included in one of our online specials. Please contact us directly should you wish to use your credit code on a discounted item.
Exchanges:
Exchanges are subject to the availability.
If you are exchanging a full priced item (where no site/ weekly special discount was applied) for the same item in a different size, we will cover the shipping cost to get the exchange back to you.
If the item was purchased with a discount, a shipping fee of R75 will apply to the new item being sent out.
Damaged or incorrect Items delivered:
We take great care in manufacturing and inspecting all of our products before dispatch- we want them to be perfect for you!
In the unfortunate event that you receive an item with a manufacturing fault or damage, or the incorrect item was sent, we will replace it or refund the purchase at no extra cost to you.
To process the return of a damaged or incorrect item please email us on info@mayaprass.com within 5 days (of delivery or collection from our Woodstock studio).
If you are returning a defect item, please include a short description of the issue found.
We will arrange for our courier to collect the item from you, and inspect the item once received. Please return any defect item in its original packaging along with any relevant tags. Any item which has been worn, soiled or damaged after receipt by the client will not be accepted.
Where possible, a defect item will be replaced with a new one. If this is not possible, a full refund will be issued.
If you received an incorrect item, we will collect the incorrect item and send out the correct one at our cost.
